I’m living proof that you can design a 7-figure beauty business that you love
I started my beauty business out of my spare room 8 years ago. From overwhelmed to running a profitable business (and working less than ever), I learned to grow my business one mistake at a time.
Now I'm teaching what I know so you can jump to the front of the queue and start designing the biz of your dreams!

Hi, I’m Lauren
Lash boss, I’ve got news for you.
More and more, clients are seeking ‘specialist salons’. They’re moving away from salons offering a general service, where beauty therapists provide a ‘decent’ service, but aren’t the best in the biz at it.
This is excellent news for you! Why?
Now you can specialise in an area you love. Focus all your energy into perfecting a skillset you want your salon to be recognised for.
Not convinced? Let me explain.
Too often, I see salons searching for services and products to add to their existing menu, in hope of generating more income – It doesn’t work!
Clients get confused when there are too many services on offer, especially when they don’t relate to lashes or brows.
Expansion that breaks the bank
Expanding your menus with services unrelated to your core business will likely result in additional money spent on training, new products, marketing and all the other unexpected costs that crop up.
Aside from money, expanding your services in this way could put your brand’s reputation on the line.
When you start offering treatments that aren’t aligned with your brand, the reputation you fought so hard to build could come crashing down – fast!
A common treatment lash salons seem to add to their menus, is teeth whitening.
Lash boss, please let your clients go to their dentists for teeth treatments. People don’t actively seek out lash salons for teeth whitening – I don’t believe that this is brand alignment.
Not convinced? Think of your Instagram feed. Imagine potential clients jumping on your page to scroll through gorgeous lash photos and much to their surprise they’re hit with very unappealing before and after photos of teeth.
Tell me this isn’t a turnoff!!?
If you are a specialist lash salon, teeth whitening is hard to market – leave it to the teeth specialists!
The best way to expand your salon
Each year, I undergo an annual ‘culling’ process for treatments on the Allure Lash and Beauty Bar menu that aren’t generating big numbers.
For example, a little while back, our makeup service generated less than a quarter of the revenue we earned each year from ONE lash bed. I got rid of our makeup services fast.
I made more room inside the salon for an extra lash bed. As a result, we earned $125,000 more in the next financial year.
Do this in your business. Review your services and crunch the numbers. Get rid of anything that isn’t making money.
Don’t be afraid to specialise. Take time to nail your niche. Your business will flourish, and people looking for your speciality will know where to go.
